Homemade Cream Of Anything Mix for Casseroles, soups, etc.

If you love Southern casseroles, creamy soups, and all those rich, comforting dishes we grew up with, but can’t use dairy or traditional canned cream soups, this homemade “Cream-Of Anything” mix will be a great addition to your pantry! It’s completely alpha-gal friendly, dairy-free, budget-friendly, and tastes just as delicious as the classic versions without all of the additives.

Canned cream soups now cost $1.50 or more per can, and most contain dairy, wheat, fillers, and hidden mammal ingredients. But this dry mix uses simple, safe ingredients and ready to go in minutes. One batch makes about 18 servings, and the total cost breaks down to roughly $0.60–$0.70 per serving — and delivers the same creamy texture you need for family-favorite dishes like chicken casserole, creamy broccoli casserole, potato soups, green bean casserole, and “cream-of” meals.

Just whisk ⅓ cup of the dry mix with 1 cup of water, and you’ve got a simple, rich, pourable cream-of soup base ready to use in any Southern classics or other recipes that calls for a can of the store-bought stuff.
